Definition |
A leading American commentator, Donn Parker, identified four forms of computer abuse distinguished in each case by the role played by the computer. Thus, the computer might: 1 (a) serve as the victim of crime; (b) constitute the environment within which a crime is committed; (c) provide the means by which a crime is committed; or (d) symbolically be used to intimidate, deceive or defraud victims.
