| Even more confusing is the fact that a computer can serve both roles. Indeed one of the attractions of the Internet is that any computer that is attached can offer services and so be classed as a server. The safest way to think about this is to say that a computer is acting as a server if it is providing a service, and a client when it access any server, even itself. |
