| Although it may be that the relatively pure cases are the ones that tend to be picked up for scientific investigation and reported in the literature, the typical patient is more likely to be someone whose brain injury has resulted in a cluster of deficits. These should be interpretable as combinations of deficits that may be seen in isolation in rare patients with relatively pure impairments of single processing stages. |
