| In keeping with the initial tenor of the Internet, many of the earliest domain name disputes amounted to mere pranks. Two of the more famous examples involve what has become known as "domain name grabbing." "Grabbing," or "squatting," occurs where an individual notices the failure of a company to register a domain name and then registers the name for herself. |
