| At the lasting stage, a special hot-air device replaces the cement injectors and blows hot air onto the thermoplastic adhesive on the insole, allowing the shoes to be lasted directly onto the thermoplastic adhesive. Cold plates are used to wipe the lasting edge over onto the last , and excellent results are obtained in almost exactly the same time frame as when using injected hot-melt adhesives . |
