This procedure further demonstrated the variability and temporal disorganization in the speech of limb-kinetic apraxics. It is certainly true that the patient with limb-kinetic apraxia of speech.may or may not have a concomitant oral-facial apraxia AND may or may not have a concomitant aphasia. That is, some sort of “pure” apraxia of speech may be seen. Therefore, it would be best not to claim that Broca’s aphasia equals apraxia of speech.
