Attestation 3
Part of speech Noun phrase
Definition A physical object which can make the patient name the object orally or orthographically.
Definition source Vista-Mead 2001
Context Good bimanual actions can be attributed to facilitatory cross talk from an intact (right hand) action system for the impaired (left hand) system, in line with the idea of action systems being hand-specific (Fig. 13.2). It is less easy for the proposal of a single, bimanual action system, to account for the result. G.F. also performed better when given visual and tactile input relative to when he was given visual input alone. This could reflect a problem particular to dealing with visual input, akin to the unimanual visually related deficit reported by Riddoch et al. (1989).
