Substances of inorganic origin, which usually appear in the form of salts such as magnesium sulphate, iron fumarate, or copper sulphate. Considering the quantity of minerals required by the body, minerals are divided into macro- and microelements (trace elements). Iron, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, chlorine, sodium and magnesium are macroelements, while iodine, copper, manganese, fluorine, zinc, chromium, selenium, molybdenum, cobalt, and vanadium are microelements.
