| An MRL is the maximum concentration of pesticides residues (expressed as mg/kg), which is expected in a product if a pesticide has been applied correctly to the crop. MRLs are primarily a check that Good Agricultural Practice is being followed and to assist international trade in produce treated with pesticides. MRLs are not safety limits |
