| The first adjustable pitch propeller came on the market as early as the 19th century. As the power of the ships increased significantly over the years, in the 30’s a Swiss company invented the hydraulic operated adjustable propeller, called “controllable pitch propeller” (shortened to c. p. propeller) - a technology which became virtually standard in commercial marine, naval and aircraft applications. |
