Continuous cyclic peritoneal dialysis (CCPD) is based on the concept of continuous-equilibrium dialysis as originally proposed by Popovic et al (1976), but incorporates a cycler. Technically, CCPD is a reversal of CAPD , where the shorter exchanges are automatically provided by at night while the longer exchange is made during the day *Continuous Cyclic peritoneal Dialysis*. Standard CCPD uses a cycler for three 3-hour dwells while the patient sleeps with a subsequent 15-hour daytime dwell. Hence, this is a continuous therapy
