[I]n a June 1995 report entitled "Privacy and the National Information Infrastructure," issued by the Privacy Working Group ("Working Group") of the United States government´s Information Infrastructure Task Force, the Working Group recommended a set of principles, referred to as the "Privacy Principles," to govern the collection, processing, storage, and re-use of personal data in the information age.
